Reconciling makes sure your MYOB Essentials bank records match the records kept by your bank. Doing this regularly helps your business records to stay accurate.
How you reconcile depends on whether you use paper, electronic bank statements, or bank feeds.
- If you’ve linked your bank or credit card account or if you manually import statements into MYOB Essentials, you’ll only need to reconcile the transactions that MYOB Essentials couldn’t automatically match. See Reconciling unmatched MYOB Essentials transactions.
- If you only use paper statements (that is, you don’t import or link your bank accounts), you’ll need to check your MYOB Essentials transactions against this statement. See Reconciling with a paper bank or credit card statement.
