Paying an employee for sick leave on a public holiday

When an employee calls in sick on a public holiday that they would otherwise have worked, they are entitled to be paid their regular daily rate for that day.

They are not entitled to be paid the additional 50% loading (time-and-a-half) that they would have been paid if they had worked.
