Adding columns or rows to a text display table

Extra columns can only be added to a table if with the addition, the table does not become too large for the width of the template page. If the table does become too large for the template page, a warning message is displayed and the extra columns will not be added to the template.

Only one column or row can be added at any one time. To add more than one column or row, you must repeat the procedure below.

How to add a column to a text display table
  1. Open the practice template for editing. See Opening a practice template for editing.
  2. Insert a text display table. See Inserting a text display table.
  3. Place the cursor in a cell of the table where the column is to added either to the left or right.
  4. Insert a column:
    Select Table > Insert > Column to the left, if the column is to be added to the left of the selected cell.
    Select Table > Insert > Column to the right, if the column is to be added to the right of the selected cell.

An additional column is inserted either to the left or right of the selected cell.

How to add a row to a text display table
  1. Open the practice template for editing. See Opening a practice template for editing.
  2. Insert a text display table. See Inserting a text display table.
  3. Place the cursor in a cell of the table where the row is to added either below or above.
  4. Insert a row:
    Select Table > Insert > Row above, if the row is to be inserted above the selected cell.
    Select Table > Insert > Row below, if the row is to be insert below the selected cell.

An additional row is inserted either above or below the selected cell.
