Adding comments to an account

How to add comments to a selected account in the Prepare Trial Balance (Workpapers) table
  1. Open the workpapers period. See Opening an existing period. The Prepare Trial Balance (Workpapers) table is displayed.
  2. Select an account in the table.
  3. Click Add comment on the Tasks bar.
    or
  4. Right-click on the account in the table and select Add comment. The Add Comment window opens. The Account field is automatically filled with the selected account details. The Comments section contains the name of the person adding the comment, the current date and time of when the comment was added.
  5. Enter comments in the text area. Enter comments beneath the date and time stamp entry and the Reference: entry. This is a free format text area.
  6. Click the Add button. The comment is added to the account and the Add Comment window closes.
How to add comments to the Trial Balance (Workpapers) table
  1. Open the workpapers period. See Opening an existing period. The Prepare Trial Balance (Workpapers) table is displayed.
  2. Click Add comment on the Tasks bar.
    or
  3. Right-click on the table and select Add comment. The Add Comment window opens.
  4. Select an account from the Account field drop-down.
  5. The drop-down list contains the entire list of imported chart of accounts from the configured general ledger.
  6. Enter comments in the text area. Enter comments beneath the date and time stamp entry and the Reference: entry. This is a free format text area.
  7. Click the Add button. The comments are added to the account and the Add Comment window closes.
