Inserting a text display table

You are able to add a text display table to a practice template. A text display table is similar to a Microsoft Word table. A text display table only allows a limited number of entry lines whereas a Data Entry Table allows an unlimited number of data entry lines.

Plan and consider what data and information are to be included in your text display table and how you want to set it out.

The number of columns in a text display table must fall within the range of 1 – 15.
The number of rows in a text display table must fall within the range of 1 – 100.

How to insert a text display table in a practice template
  1. Open the practice template for editing. See Opening a practice template for editing. Position the mouse cursor in the practice template where the new table is to be inserted.
  2. Select Table > Insert > Table on the main menu. The Insert Table window opens.
  3. Enter the number of rows of the text display table. Or select the number of rows using the adjacent arrows.

    The number of rows in a text display table must fall within the range of 1 – 100.

  4. Enter the number of columns of the text display table. Or select the number of columns using the adjacent arrows.

    The number of columns in a text display table must fall within the range of 1 – 15.

  5. Click OK. The text display table is added at the insertion point in the practice template.

  6. Additional rows and columns can be added to the text display table using Table > Insert on the main menu.

    Ensure that your mouse cursor is positioned within the table so that the options of adding columns and rows are enabled.

  7. Insert other fields into the cells of the text display table, as required.

  8. Save the practice template.

  9. Close the practice template.
