Creating corporations using an imported data file

Corporate Compliance and Corporate Admin will be retired on 15 April 2024.
You won't be able to use either software after 15 April 2024. Learn what this means for you

Use this procedure to add previously registered corporations to Corporate Compliance, for example if a corporation moves from another practice to your practice.

How to add an existing corporation
  1. Add the corporation to Corporate Compliance using the Include from AE / Include from AO option in the Add Corporation wizard (see Adding corporations). You only need to enter the company name, agent, entity type and ACN.

  2. Use the Appoint or Cease Registered Agent wizard (see Appointing and ceasing agents) to create the ASIC Form 362 for this company. As there are no officers entered for this company, step 2 of this wizard allows you to enter the name of the signing officer.

  3. Lodge Form 362 with ASIC.

  4. When Form 362 has been accepted by ASIC, use the Request data from ASIC wizard to create Form RA71.

  5. Lodge Form RA71 with ASIC.

  6. When Form RA71 has been accepted, ASIC will send you the company’s data as Form RA72.

  7. When Form RA72 has been received, use the Update from ASIC data received wizard (see Updating details with data received from ASIC) to import the details of the company into your Corporate Compliance database.
