Schedule a Corporate Compliance backup

Corporate Compliance and Corporate Admin will be retired on 15 April 2024.

The Corporate Compliance backups can be scheduled to be made on a regular basis using the Windows Task Scheduler.

Scheduled backups must be done from the Corporate Compliance server.

To set up a schedule for the Corporate Compliance backups add a task to the Windows Task Scheduler that will execute the Corporate Compliance backup routine, BackupCCDatabases.exe.

This file is located in the Utilities sub–folder of the Corporate Compliance Server install. For example C:\Program Files\MYOB\Corporate Compliance\Utilities

To set up scheduled backups of Corporate Compliance

The following steps walk you through an example of setting up a task:

  1. Open Task Scheduler in Windows and select Create Basic Task.
  2. Enter a Name and Description for the task. Click Next.

  3. Select when you when the backup to run. Click Next.

  4. Select the start date and time for your backup. Click Next.

  5. Select Start a program. Click Next.

  6. Click Browse and find the backup utility, example: C:\Program Files\MYOB\Corporate Compliance\Utilities\CCDatabasesBackup.exe.

  7. Click Next.

  8. Click Finish to save the task.


Information on the Corporate Compliance backup program
  • The backup application will only backup Corporate Compliance databases within the Corporate Compliance SQL instance.

  • A report BackupCCDatabases.log is created in the folder %user%\%appdata%\CorporateCompliance\Temp

  • A report BackupRestore.log with more technical details in relation to backing up (or restoring) of is created in the folder %user%\%appdata%\CorporateCompliance\Temp\

  • When the size of the report BackupCCDatabases.log exceeds 2MBs, it will be renamed to BackupCCDatabases_old.log

  • When the size of the report BackupRestore.log exceeds 2MBs, it will be renamed to BackupRestore_old.log

  • Backup files will be saved in the location specified in the Corporate Compliance database backup settings.

  • The naming of backup files is: CC_ database_name_yyyymmdd_hhmm.bak For example, CorporateCompliance_20101118_1045.bak
