Selecting documents that will not be migrated

In the Select the File Extensions that are NOT to be migrated page you can specify the file extensions of the documents that will not be migrated to Document Manager. One file extension is entered on each cell line. Examples of file extension that you may want to exclude from the migration are: bak, dat, zip, db, tmp, myo, act, exe.

To exclude certain documents from being migrated to Document Manager

  1. Open the Document Migration Wizard. See Using the Document Migration Wizard.

  2. Ensure that you have completed Selecting application types to be migrated and previous sections.

  3. Ensure that you are on the Select the File Extensions that are NOT to be migrated page.

  4. In the first empty row, enter the file extension of the documents that you do NOT want to be migrated to Document Manager.

  5. Press [Tab]. The row moves into the table, enabling you to enter another file extension in the first entry row.

  6. Repeat until you have entered all the file extensions of the document types that will not be migrated to Document Manager.

  7. Click Next. The Filing Cabinet Extra Fields page opens.
    Proceed to Specifying filing cabinet extra fields.
