Adding a category for user applications

You can create additional categories to group your applications.

To add a category
  1. Click the My Applications link. The User Applications window opens.
  2. Right-click the Applications folder or an existing Category and select New Category
    or
    Click the New Category button on the User Applications window toolbar. The User Applications window opens with the Category option selected.
  3. Enter the Title. The Title displays when making a selection from the Applications section.
  4. Enter a Description. The Description only displays when editing a Category.

    A Category will only display in the User Applications section if at least one application has been added to it.

To edit and delete a user application category

You can edit or delete a User Application Category by displaying its properties:

  1. Click the My Applications link. The User Applications window opens.
  2. Right-click the relevant Category.
  3. To edit a User Application Category:
    1. Select Properties from the right-click menu. The Edit Application dialog appears.
    2. Make any changes as required to the Title or Description of the Category in the same way as when it was added.
  4. To delete a User Application category:

    1. Select Delete Category from the right-click menu.

      A category can only be deleted if it is empty. First delete any applications or sub-categories that the category contains. Then delete the category.
