When a new category is added, it initially displays in the hierarchy directly below the category that was highlighted in the left-hand panel when New Category was selected. It can then be moved to a different position in the structure as required.

A sub-category can only be moved left or right.

How to move a category

You can move a category in the MYOB Intranet Administration window by either:

Right-click the category and select Move Up, Move Down, Move Left or Move Right as relevant.
or
Select the category. Then use the Move Category Up, Move Category Down, Move Category Left or Move Category Right buttons on the toolbar as relevant.

Moving a category will also move all the items and any sub-categories that it contains.
