Setting up bank feeds

Bank feeds allow information from your financial institution to be sent straight to your MYOB so you can save time on your data entry. Banks feeds are included with an MYOB subscription and we support many financial institutions. And we're always adding more.

Start the bank feed setup process from MYOB. Go to the Banking menu and choose Manage bank feeds, then click Create bank feed.

Who can set up bank feeds?

The business owner (typically the person who set up the MYOB subscription) or an Online Admin user can can set up bank feeds. If you're unable to set up bank feeds, contact us and we'll be happy to help.

Watch this video for an overview on how to set up bank feeds:

Ready to get started?

For detailed setup instructions, click your bank below or choose Other if your bank isn't listed.

Need to connect more bank accounts?

The number of bank accounts you can connect depends on your plan. Sign into My Account > Manage my product to see your current limit or upgrade your plan.

Which other banks are supported?

Bank feeds can be set up for accounts with many financial institutions including banks, credit unions, building societies, and fund managers, and we're always adding more. Check our current list of institutions you can set up bank feeds for.

If your bank isn't listed this means your bank doesn't currently support bank feeds.

What happens after my bank feed is approved?

Your bank will send your bank transactions into MYOB. How often this happens depends on your bank - check this list to see your bank's delivery frequency.

Each transaction can then be matched to an MYOB transaction (if one exists), or allocated to an MYOB account (if a matching MYOB transaction doesn't exist). You can also set up rules to automate this process. For all the details see Working with bank transactions.

FAQs

How do I check my bank feed application status?

AddAdd

You can see a list of all your current bank feeds, along with the account details, and the status of each bank feed on the Manage bank feeds page (accessible from the Banking menu).

Note that the application process can take up to 10 business days to complete. If it’s taken longer than this for your bank feed to become active, or you have any questions about your application, contact us.

For more details about each status, see Tracking the status of your bank feed application.

How do I bring transactions into MYOB that are from before my bank feed was set up?

AddAdd

The first bank feed you receive will have transactions dated from when your bank feed was approved. Any transactions that occurred from before this date won’t be included, but you can import these transactions from your bank statements.

Setting up bank feeds will be called connecting accounts

We're changing the way we talk about bank feeds to make it clearer that you're working with transactions from an actual bank account.

Instead of setting up a bank feed, it'll be called Connecting a bank or credit card. Also, the page where you manage them is changing from Manage bank feeds to Manage bank accounts:

The Manage bank feeds page will be renamed Manage bank accounts.

Bank feeds still work the same way

There is nothing you need to do and your existing bank feeds will work just as they did previously.
