Accountants Enterprise only
The Assignments tab is only available on the Client page. The Assignments tab is used to open, add, create and maintain assignments for clients. It shows a client’s open assignments as well as Unposted WIP, Posted WIP, and Total WIP.
The assignments and all schedules or jobs associated with the assignments are displayed as units. When you order the information displayed (using the column headers or by grouping the information), the assignments and all associated jobs always move as a unit.
The page displays information in two tables. The top table lists assignments highlighted in light blue, accompanied by the jobs and schedules associated with each assignment.
For sites with Practice Manager, you cannot delete an assignment from the Find Assignment page. You can only delete assignments from the Client page > Assignments tab.
To view details of the closed assignments
Click the Show Closed Assignments checkbox. This adds closed assignments to the list.
To view details of the specific assignment
Double-click the assignment row. The Assignment Details page opens.
To view details of schedules
Click the Namefield. The details for the schedule are displayed on the Assignment Details page > Scheduletab.
Rows with a pale blue background contain a job (or a schedule).
Jobs are listed in the Preview panel of the Assignmentstab for the selected assignment.
Assignments right-click menu (Practice Manager)
Right-click anywhere in either table to open a right-click menu from which you can choose assignment field chooser options (see Field Chooser options) to add or remove columns from the list.
If you are using the Assignments, Schedules or Jobs or Assignments, Schedules, Jobs and Job Time Recording Job modes, the right-click menu also includes options to add or remove jobs.
