Configuring backup permissions

To enable a user to perform backups you must first set up the correct permissions.

Select Maintenance > Security > Security Group Maintenance. The Maintenance — Security Group Maintenance page opens.
Ensure that the team member who will perform backups has the Super User checkbox selected.
Click OK. To save the changes and close the Maintenance — Security Group Maintenance page.
Select Maintenance > Security > Task Permissions. The Maintenance — Task Permissions page opens.
Select Central from the Product drop-down.
Click beside the Maintenance Group Description to list the permissions for that area. The list expands and displays a checkbox in the Allow column.
Click the Allow checkbox for [Maintenance][Backup].
Click the Allow checkbox for #Backup#ReceiveFailureNotification.
Click OK. To save the changes and close the Maintenance — Task Permissions page.
