The Link to AO Classic client option on the Tasks bar is only available if you are integrated with AO Classic. If you link a MYOB AO client to an AO Classic client, then changes made to the MYOB AO client are automatically updated to the AO Classic client. The information that is updated is only that which is required to complete tax preparation for the client.
You must have the appropriate task permissions set to be able to link a MYOB AO client to an AO Classic client.
Only one MYOB AO client can be linked to one AO Classic client.
To link an MYOB AO client to an AO Classic client
Find and open the client. See Finding and opening clients and contacts.
Click Link to AO Classic client on the TASKS bar. The Link Client To AO Classic window opens listing all of the clients available in AO Classic and their associated codes.
Click the Show all linked clients option. Another column is displayed showing the MYOB AO client that is linked to the AO Classic client.
Select the AO Classic client to link to.
Click Link. The MYOB AO client is linked to the AO Classic client. If the selected AO Classic client is already linked to a MYOB AO client, an error message is displayed. Select another AO Classic client that is not already linked.
Close the Link Client To AO Classic window.
To unlink an MYOB AO client from an AO Classic client
Find and open the client. See Finding and opening clients and contacts.
Click Link to AO Classic client on the TASKS bar. The Link Client To AO Classic window opens. A list of all the clients available in AO Classic and their associated codes is displayed.
Click the Show all linked clients option. Another column is displayed showing the MYOB AO client that is linked to the AO Classic client.
Select the AO Classic client to unlink to.
Click Unlink. The MYOB AO client is unlinked from the AO Classic client.
Close the Link Client To AO Classic window.
