Recoverability Toolbox option

Drag Recoverability from the Practice Manager Toolbox to your homepage.

Recoverability is a measure of the fee value against the WIP written out.

This recoverability graph provides two options.

• Monthly recoverability values.

• Cumulative (i.e., 12 month running values).

For example, assume your date range is January to December of the current year.

• If the cumulative option is not selected from the right-click menu, then:

  • March figures would display information for March of the current year only (i.e., 1/3 to 31/3).
    and

  • April figures would display information for April of the current year only (i.e., 1/4 to 30/4).

• If the cumulative option is selected from the right-click menu:

  • March figures would display information for April of the previous year to March of the current year.
    and

  • April figures would display information for May of the previous year to April of the current year, etc.

The cumulative option effectively enables you to track the trend of your practice's recoverability.

Right-click the display and select the Define Filter menu to open the Recoverability Grouping Options window:

The Recoverability Grouping Options window enables you to select the date range and data filters required.

• For the Date Range, select either YTD for the last 12 months or data, or enter another date range. The graph is limited to display a maximum of 12 months at any one time.

• For the Data Filters, leave the items in the grouping bar as displayed above to show all data for the practice together.

• To show the analysis of the recoverability by one of these areas, drag that item up to the Group bar.

You can analyse the data by:

• Company

• Partner

• Manager

• Department

• Office.

You can further select to include or exclude data in the selected filter by right-clicking that field in the Group bar to display the Filter List. For example, if you right-click the Department field, the system will displays the list of departments. Click the checkbox and deselect the departments checkbox to be listed in the recoverability graph.
