WIP reporting area

Practice Manager only

The WIP reporting area delivers reports on outstanding or unbilled WIP transactions. These transactions include all outstanding posted timesheets, disbursements, miscellaneous charges and estimates that have been entered within a specified period. In addition to transactional reports, this area also includes aged based reports that detail outstanding WIP transactions broken down by periods. For example 30, 60 and 90 days.

Examples of reports that can be run from here include:

  • Aged WIP Reports — groups the unbilled WIP by client by aged period. For example 30, 60 and 90 days.

  • Control Reports — details the opening and closing balances of the practices WIP ledger and the transactions within that period.

  • Summary Reports — displays separate balances by client, for time, disbursements, miscellaneous charges and estimates to complete by a certain date. These reports also detail billing information such as fees within a period, last bill (fee) date and write offs.

Aged WIP by assignmentAEThe Aged WIP by Assignment reporting area is used to produce reports that contain outstanding WIP by assignment within the defined age bands for your practice. The information can be filtered or grouped by assignment-based categories including company, centre and department.This reporting area provides information on how old the WIP is, enabling you to make decisions regarding a client's WIP.
Aged WIP by clientAE/AOThe Aged WIP by Client reporting area is used to produce reports that contain outstanding WIP by client within the defined age bands for your practice. The information can be filtered or grouped by client-based categories including company, centre and department.This reporting area provides information on how old your WIP is, enabling you to make decisions regarding a client's WIP.
Aged WIP by codeAE/AOThe Aged WIP by Code reporting area is used to produce reports that contain aged WIP at assignment or job level, grouped by code type.The information can be filtered or grouped by code-based categories including time, disbursements or specific task codes.
Aged WIP by jobAOThe Aged WIP by Job reporting area is used to produce reports that contain outstanding WIP by job within the defined age bands for your practice. The information can be filtered or grouped by job-based categories including company and department.This reporting area provides information on how old the WIP is, enabling you to make decisions regarding a client's WIP.
Assignment cumulativeAEThe Assignment Cumulative reporting area is used to produce reports that contain all timesheet, disbursements, estimates and miscellaneous charge transactions that have been charged to individual assignments. They are grouped by code type and employee.
Client summaryAEThe Client Summary reporting area is used to produce reports that contain each client with unbilled WIP. The WIP is split between time and disbursements, last WIP date, outstanding debtors balance, bill (fee) amounts, time written off, disbursements written off, miscellaneous written off, estimates written off and lockup amount within a specified date range.The information can be group or filtered by client partner, manager,  billing group, client company, client department and client office.
Control by assignmentAEThe Control by Assignment reporting area is used to produce reports that contain a snapshot of practice performance for a specified date range by assignment.This reporting area provides a breakdown of WIP by type to show movements in relation to charges, fees and write offs by assignment company, assignment department, assignment centre and assignment office.
Control by clientAEThe Control by Client reporting area is used to produce reports that contain a snapshot of practice performance for a specified date range by client.This reporting area provides a breakdown of WIP by type to show movements in relation to charges, fees and write offs by client company, client department, client centre and client office.
Control by client exposureAEThe Control by Client Exposure reporting area is used to produce reports that contain movement of WIP for the specified date range, including those recorded for time and disbursements. Information from miscellaneous charges is included to calculate the closing balance for the chosen period.This reporting area provides debtors information such as billing company, total unallocated cash, total invoices, total debtors balance, total write offs and debtors balance ageing.Information can be filtered and grouped by client partner, client office and client department.
Current WIP by assignmentAEThe Current WIP by Assignment reporting area is used to produce reports containing WIP information to a specified date.This reporting area provides information on how much WIP has been charged, billed, written off and left unbilled. Each report can be grouped and filtered by assignment code, assignment company, assignment department, assignment centre and assignment office. Other WIP information such as transaction date, employees, transaction type and task code can also be shown in the reports.
Current WIP by clientAE/AOThe Current WIP by Client reporting area is used to produce reports containing WIP information up to a specified date.This reporting area provides information on how much WIP has been charged, billed, written off and unbilled. Each report can be grouped and filtered by client partner, client company, client department, client office or manager. Other WIP information such as transaction date, employees, transaction type and also task code can also be shown on the report.
Current WIP by jobAOThe Current WIP by Job reporting area is used to produce reports containing WIP information to a specified date.This reporting area provides information on how much WIP has been charged, billed, written off and left unbilled. Each report can be grouped and filtered by job code, job company, job department and job office. Other WIP information such as transaction date, employees, transaction type and task code can also be shown in the reports.
Total WIP/debtor client summaryAEThe Total WIP/Debtor Client Summary reporting area is used to produce accumulative reports containing all system data. It displays total outstanding WIP and debtors balance for individual clients.This reporting area also provides information on total charged, billed, written off and unbilled WIP information for individual clients. Information can be grouped or filtered by client company, client department, client office, client partner or manager.
WIP history by assignmentAEThe WIP History by Assignment reporting area is used to produce reports that contain all the WIP transactions at assignment level within a specified date range.The WIP history information includes the transaction date, employee, the code type such as timesheets or disbursements, task code, charged, billed, written off and unbilled amount. The information can be grouped or filtered by assignment company, assignment office, assignment department, assignment centre, assignment partner and assignment manager.
WIP history by clientAE/AOThe WIP History by Client reporting area is used to produce reports that contain all the WIP transactions at a client level within a specified date range.The WIP history information includes the transaction date, employee, the code type such as timesheets or disbursements, task code, charge, billed, written off and unbilled amount. You can group or filter the information by client company, client partner, manager, client office or client department. The information can be further broken down to the assignmentjob level and also by employee.
