BankLink Books and BankLink Practice

There are two coding screen modes:

  • Restricted to Account - this mode allows you to edit the Account column only.
  • All Editable Columns
  • Restricted to Account
  • - this mode allows you to edit these columns:
    • Account
    • Effective Date
    • GST Amount
    • GST Class ID
    • Job, Narration
    • Payee
    • Quantity
    • Reference
    • Tax Inv

You need to be in All Editable Columns mode to edit all columns in the BankLink Practice coding entry screen.

  1. Open the coding entry screen for the period you want to code.
  2. In the bottom left corner, check which mode you're in:If you can see the words Restricted to Account, you can only edit the Account columnthe current mode is displayed.
  3. To change the mode to All Editable Columns mode, click switch modes, click the words Restricted to Account . When you're in or All Editable Columns mode you can edit the following columns:
    • Account
    • Effective Date
    • GST Amount
    • GST Class ID
    • Job, Narration
    • Payee
    • Quantity
    • Reference
    • Tax Inv
  4. (as applicable) to switch to the other mode.

Still can't edit the columns?

Check that the columns have been configured to allow editing.

To configure columns:

          1. Right click the column heading and choose Configure Columns.

          2. Ensure the column you want to edit has both an E for edit and a V for visible.
