Importing your bank transactions into Cashbook is a simple process of downloading your account transactions from your bank's website and importing them into your Cashbook.

  1. Log into your bank website and select the account you want to import transactions from.
  2. Locate the "download" option and establish the date range you need.
  3. Choose a download format; we recommend the QIF format. Also remember which date option you choose; we recommend DDMMYY.
  4. Download the file to an easily remembered location, for example the Desktop. Make a note of the downloaded file name.
  5. Open Cashbook.
  6. Go to the Processing command centre and click Import Transactions.
  7. At the Import Transactions window, ensure the correct bank account is selected and that the Downloaded using field is set to the format you used from the bank, for example QIF.
  8. Enter the date range in the From and To fields for the transactions you have downloaded, then click the ellipsis button (...) and browse to the file you downloaded.

  9. Click Import.
