To set up a client to use Enhanced Client File Handler (ECFH) there are three things you need to do:1.

  1. Enable ECFH for your practice

  1. Ensure the client has a valid email address entered in the
Client File

Let's step you through each of these tasks.

title1. Enable ECFH for your practice

You will need to enable ECFH for your practice before you can send any files to your clients via ECFH. To

set

:

  1. Open BankLink Practice.
2.
  1. Go to System > Practice Details.
3.
  1. Click
on Make sure the box next to
  1. the BankLink Online tab.
4.
  1. Select the option Enhanced Client File Handling

You will then need to set up that particular client

  2. Go to Other Functions > Client Details.
3.
  1. Ensure there is a valid email address entered in the Email field.
4.
  1. Click OK.

 

The last step is to send the client file to the client

2.
  1. Click Send Client File > via BankLink Online
3. This will bring up a window that says
  1. . The Select Client(s) to send window appears.

  1. Click

client so that it is highlighted and click the Upload button

5. A window will come up confirming the Send has been completed

6. Click OK

When you send the Client File via BankLink Online for the first time, there is an automatic email generated to the clients email address with a temporary BankLink Online password. You will not see this email, as it is generated
  1. applicable client then click Upload. The file will be sent.
  2. Click OK to the confirmation message.

When a file is sent for the first time

The first time a client file is sent via BankLink Online, an email is automatically generated containing a temporary BankLink Online password for the client. You won't see this email because it's generated from the address donotreply@banklink.com

An email will appear with login information for your client.

This email informs your client of the subdomain for your practice, and their username (

when ready, click Send

then when you're ready click Send.
