  • When creating a non-accruing entitlement, you need to select the Non Accruing Entitlement checkbox. This disables the options Entitlement may be paid/taken in advance and Cap accrual per period. It also disables the options in the Payslip section.

Accrued from tab

On the Accrued from tab, you can select which pay items need to be taken into consideration when this entitlement is applied to employees that have their entitlement calculated by hours worked. What exactly does this "need to be taken into consideration" mean? And is "entitlement calculated by hours worked" an option selected on the Entitlements screen, or in another part of MYOB Advanced People? Do these pay items need to be added manually, or do they automatically appear in the Accrual base items section?

Changes

The Changes section lets you specify how much an entitlement will accrue per period.

  • The Time period after trigger date column lets you choose

For example,

In this example the entitlement is accrued from the employee start date so the time period after trigger date will be 0. Ie it is zero time after the employee start date. The period duration is 12 and you are going to define the period as Months. The entitlement is 152 units or hours over the 12month period

If you require the entitlement to be accrued only at the end of the period, then the lump sum check box should be ticked. If this is not ticked then the entitlement will accrue pro rata each pay over the period
