For security purposes, each Authoriser must enter their own details in the New Authoriser window.

  3. Enter your first name, last name and password, and then confirm the password. You must enter a password of your own choice with the minimum number of characters of six and maximum of twenty. Refer to Important information about passwords below.
  4. Click Send and Print. An internet connection will be established with MYOB M-Powered Services. Your newly created authoriser details are sent and the M-Powered Authoriser form is printed.
  5. Sign this form and attach it to the 'Change of Authoriser Details' form (available at the bottom of this support note).

titleImportant information about passwords

Here are some recommendations for creating and managing your password:

  • Do not use the same password as the on you use to login to your MYOB company file.
  • Do not use patterns such as 'aaabbb', '123123', 'abc123', etc.
  • Use a mixture of numbers and letters.
  • Do not use names of people, pets or places or variations of these, for example, your name spelt backwards.
  • Passwords ensuring the best security are comprised of a pass-phrase such as cw2s&m, which represents the phrase 'coffee with two sugars and milk'.
  • When entering your password, make sure that nobody can see the password being entered. Watch for security cameras and mirrors.
  • Do not reveal your passwords to anyone, including your colleagues, your manager, your family, friends or MYOB staff.
  • Do no 'lend' your password to someone else when on holidays.
  • Do not write your password down.
