If you don't use one of these programs, you can save your document as a PDF (Send To > Disk) then attach it to an email in your preferred email software. If there's more than one email program on your computer, you need to set Outlook or Apple Mail as the default. Similarly, if you have more than one email address set up in Outlook or Apple Mail, you'll need to set which one is the default. | UI Expand |

- Under Personal settings, click General.
- Under Default application, click Make Default.

2011| 2008 or later | - Open Outlook.
- Go to the Tools menu and choose Accounts. The Accounts window appears listing your available email accounts (addresses).
- Select the email account you want to use as the default.
- On the Action pop-up menu
 Image Modified (under the list of available email accounts), click Set as Default.
