AccountEdge v11.5Pro and Network Edition, Australia only

An issue can occur if you install AccountEdge Pro or AccountEdge / Network Edition v11.5 Edition and after loading the tax tables you accidentally open your company file in a previous AccountEdge v11version. This may happen where AccountEdge v11.5 the latest AccountEdge version hasn't been installed on all computers which access the company file.

By doing this a tax setting in your company file is affected, and when you try to process your payroll you will receive the following message:

Clicking OK will display the following message:

These messages will continue to be displayed when you try to process your payroll.

To stop this happening in the future, as well as following the resolution steps below, you will need to remove all remnants of your previous version of AccountEdge v11. If the AccountEdge v11 application has been placed directly on the desktop, this must be removed. Also note that this is not the correct method to create a desktop shortcut. The correct method for this is to create an alias and place this on your desktop.

Resolution

An update file is provided in the steps below to resolve this issue. Make sure you select the applicable file to download based on whether you are using AccountEdge or AccountEdge Network Edition.

  1. Close your AccountEdge software.
  2. Click the applicable link below (based on your AccountEdge version). If you're using Safari, the file will automatically be put in your Downloads folder.

    AccountEdge Network Edition 11.5 Tax Table update.zip
  3. Double-click the downloaded file. A new folder will be created named AU AE 15.4.4A. Inside this folder will be an AccountEdge.app.
    Depending on your settings the ".app" may not be displayed. This will not impact this process.
  4. Using the Finder, open your Applications folder.
  5. Within the Applications folder, find and open your AccountEdge v11 folder. This folder is typically named MYOB AccountEdge 11.
  6. Drag the AccountEdge.app from the AU AE 15.4.4A folder into the MAC HD/Applications/MYOB AccountEdge 11 folder.
  7. When asked, choose to replace the existing application. If using AccountEdge Network Edition, also complete the steps below.

Additional steps - AccountEdge Network Edition only

  1. Click to download the following FileConnect update file. If you're using Safari, the file will automatically be put in your Downloads folder.
  2. Double-click the downloaded file. A new folder will be created named FileConnect 15.4.8. Inside this folder will be an FileConnect.app.
    Depending on your settings the ".app" may not be displayed. This will not impact this process.
  3. Turn off FileConnect:
    1. Go to System Preferences.
    2. Double-click the AccountEdge icon (under the Other section).
    3. Click Stop FileConnect.
    4. Using the Finder, navigate to Mac HD/Library/Application Support/Acclivity.
    5. Drag the FileConnect.app from the FileConnect 15.4.8 folder into the Mac HD/Library/Application Support/Acclivity folder.
    6. When asked, choose to replace the existing application.
  4. Turn on FileConnect:
    1. Go to System Preferences.
    2. Double-click the AccountEdge icon (under the Other section).
    3. Click Start FileConnect.

You will now be able to successfully process your payroll.

Install the latest AccountEdge version on all computers which access your company file. If needed, you can download AccountEdge from my.MYOB.
