The following error may occur when emailing pay slips:

This error was resolved in Payroll 2017.

To fix this error in Payroll 2016 and earlier, there's a few things you need to do. Let's take you through the required tasks.

You will need administrator access to your computer to fix this error.

  1. Right-click on your start menu and choose Control Panel.

  2. Double-click Devices and Printers.
  3. In the list of installed printers and devices, right-click MYOB AO PDF Generator and choose Delete.
  4. Click Yes to the confirmation message.

  1. Right-click on your start menu and choose Control Panel.
  2. Double-click Programs and Features.
  3. In the list of installed programs, right-click MYOB Payroll and choose Uninstall/Change.
  4. Click Yes to the confirmation message.
  5. Follow the prompts to uninstall Payroll.

title3. Reinstall Payroll
  1. Log into Windows as Administrator, or as a user with Administrator privileges.
  2. Temporarily disable your anti-virus and firewall software. You can enable these again after the installation has finished.
  3. If you have the MYOB Payroll installation CD, place the CD into the CD/DVD drive on your computer and follow the prompts to install Payroll.
    If you have downloaded MYOB Payroll, double-click the downloaded installation file and follow the prompts to install Payroll.

  4. When the installation is complete, restart your computer.

 

If the error persists

If you've completed the above tasks and the error persists, you'll need to remove the file AOReport.dll from your computer.

  1. Close all programs, including Payroll.
  2. Right-click the attachment below (AOReport.dll) and save the file to your Desktop.
  3. Right-click the downloaded file and choose Copy.
  4. Simultaneously press the Windows and E keys on your keyboard (the Windows key is between the Ctrl and Alt keys). The Computer or File Explorer window appears.
  5. Navigate to C:\Windows\System32
  6. Right-click the System32 folder and choose Paste.
  7. If you are prompted with a confirmation message, choose to Copy and Replace the existing file.
  8. Navigate to C:\Windows\SysWOW64. If this folder doesn't exist on your computer, you can skip the remaining steps in this support note.
  9. Right-click the SysWOW64 folder and choose Paste.
  10. If you are prompted with a confirmation message, choose to Copy and Replace the existing file.

    You should now be able to open Payroll and successfully email pay slips. You can delete the downloaded file on your Desktop (
    AOReport.dll) as you no longer need it.
