Statutory Reporter contains a set of pre-defined practice account groups. Custom account groups or (NZ) tax account groups can be created within a selected account group to summarise group detail accounts specific for a particular client. This grouping provides a summary of the account which is displayed as a single line entry in the financial reports. For example, it may be useful to group certain expense accounts that will be included in the financial report as a single line entry. Within financial reports, custom account groups are sorted appropriately, by account code or description, depending on the properties of the parent account group folder.

You cannot summarise header accounts within a custom account group.

The addition of a custom account group is identified by a Custom account groups icon in the Account Group Details tree.
