You can lodge activity statements for your clients if you've set up your tax or BAS agent details in MYOB Practice.

To get started, you'll need to enter your Tax or BAS agent details in the MYOB Practice ATO agent settings.

We'll then give you a software ID to enter into the ATO Access Manager, to authorise MYOB to be your lodgment software provider. Once that's done, you're ready to lodge.

Before you create an activity statement, it's a good idea to check that your clients’ details in MYOB Practice, like their ABN, Branch and contact details, match what appears in your ATO agent portal. We use these details to connect to the ATO and download your client's pre-fill data.

If your client has an online AccountRight or Essentials file, you can also link your client to their file in the Transaction Processing page. This lets you easily access all your client's online files from a single location, so it's easy to find come BAS time.

  1. Click Compliance on the menu bar.
  2. Click Add new on the top right of the page.

  3. Select the client from the drop-down list or enter your client's name in the field to search.

The system checks against the ATO for outstanding activity statements and automatically pre-fills the details of the outstanding activity statement.

titleGet approvals faster with digital signatures

With just a few clicks, your clients can review, approve and digitally sign their forms, and you’ll get notified right away, so you can lodge them faster.

To make this happen, your clients just need access to a portal. If you haven't set one up for your client yet, go to the Portal list and click Create portal.

Once the portal is created, each user will receive an email inviting them to log in. Then you can start sending them forms for their approval.
