You can control who is able to view and refresh bank feeds in AccountRight by setting up roles. By default, only users with the Administrator, Accountant/Bookkeeper or Banking roles can view and refresh bank feeds, but you can give this access to anyone you like.

To control access to bank feeds

  1. Go to Setup menu > User Access > Manage Roles tab.
  2. Select a role you want to edit.
  3. Click the Banking option in the middle list to give all users who have been assigned the selected role access to all banking features, or only select the Bank Feeds and Banking Command Centre options in the Banking list to restrict access to just the bank feeds feature.

Giving users access to bank feeds when the file is not online

If your company file is not online, you can give other users the ability to update bank feeds by inviting them to become an online file user. The following procedures explain how to do this.

To give a user the ability to update bank feeds

  1. Start AccountRight.
  2. Go to the Setup menu > Manage Bank Accounts. The Manage Bank Accounts window appears.
  3. Click Add or remove a bank account.
  4. Sign in with your MYOB account details. The My Products page appears, showing your bank feeds information.
  5. Go to the My Products menu and choose Manage AccountRight Live. The Manage online access page appears.
  6. Click Invite new online file user. The invitation window appears.
  7. Enter their email address, first name and last name.
  8. Click Invite. The Manage online access page reappears with a confirmation message at the top.
  9. An email will be sent to this user, inviting them to become a file user. To check whether they have accepted the invitation, see 'To check the status of an invitation' below.

To check the status of an invitation

  1. Start AccountRight.
  2. Go to the Setup menu > Manage Bank Accounts. The Manage Bank Accounts window appears.
  3. Click Add or remove a bank account.
  4. Sign in with your MYOB account details. Your bank feed information appears.
  5. Go to the My Products menu and choose Manage AccountRight Live. The Manage online access page appears.
  6. Use the filter options in the Status column in each list to show users according to status. For information on what each status means, see the table in Check a user's online status.
  7. Click an available action in the Action column to change the user’s status, or to resend or cancel an invitation.
