If you're getting a "4001" connection error when using M-Powered services, you will need to change your internet setting as follows:

  1. Close AccountRight.
  2. Open the Control Panel.
In Windows 8: Right-click in the bottom-left of the screen and choose Control Panel.
In older Windows verisons: Click the Windows Start button and choose Control Panel.

  3. Click Internet Options.
  4. Click the Connections tab.

  5. Click LAN settings.

At this point you should be able to see the following window:

  6. Deselect (untick) Automatically detect settings then click OK.
  7. Click OK in the Internet Properties window.

You will now be able to successfully complete a Send\Receive in your M-Powered Service Centre.

If this does not fix your issue you can follow the standard M-Powered: Common Connection Errors support note to try and solve your issue. A 4001 error simply means that you cannot connect to our server. This can be caused by firewall or antivirus settings. Port 443 must be open, you can disable firewall and antivirus software to test if they are causing the issue.
