If you're using the latest MYOB Payroll version and you receive a message that your ir-Filing has failed due to the first line having invalid characters, try the following:
Check that the phone number does not contain brackets. Go to the Tools menu, choose Options, and click the Contact tab to check the phone number.
Check that all company information is set up correctly.
If changes are required you'll need to restore your company file, make the changes, and then resubmit your ir-File.
