Your domain name registrar is the company who you registered your domain name through. They're responsible for updating your registrant details and renewing your domain name when it expires.

If you've registered a domain name through MYOB but no longer want MYOB to be the registrar, you can transfer the domain name to another registrar. If your domain name has expired, you'll need to renew the domain name with MYOB first before you can do so.

To transfer a domain name to another registrar
  1. First, you need to get the password, Auth Code or UDAI for each domain name you want to transfer. For:

    • .com, .net or .org domain names, you'll need your Auth Code. You can get it by completing the Domain name enquiry form and selecting I want to transfer my domain name to another registrar and require my Auth Code in the Domain name enquiry field.

    • .com.au or .net.au domain names, you'll need your domain name password. You can get it using AusRegistry's Recover Password tool. This tool will email your domain name password to your registrant email address.
Your registrant email address is the same as your MYOB Atlas account email address. You can view and update this email address on your Account information page. Just click My account on the Settings menu, and then click Edit account information in the Account information section.

AusRegistry is contracted by auDA to operate the domain name registry for .au domain names.

    • .co.nz domain names, you'll need your UDAI (Unique Domain Authentication ID). You can get it by completing the Domain name enquiry form, and selecting I want to transfer my domain name to another registrar and require my UDAI in the Domain name enquiry field.

  2. Then, send your domain name password, Auth Code or UDAI to your new registrar and request that they begin the domain name transfer.
