Why am I getting the error "Uh-oh! The numbers don't add up" when logging in to MYOB Essentials?

The error "Uh-oh! The numbers don't add up" may appear when you try to log in to MYOB Essentials.

This error occurs if cookies are blocked in your web browser. To fix this issue, you'll need to add an exception for myob.com in your web browser's cookie settings.

Here's how to do this for three popular web browsers. If you use a different web browser, refer to the browsers online help for instructions.

Internet Explorer
  1. Open the Control Panel.
    • In Windows 8 and later: Right-click the Windows Start button and choose Control Panel.
    • In Windows 7: Click the Windows Start button and choose Control Panel.
  2. Click Internet Options. Can't see this option? Click Network and Internet then click Internet Options.
  3. Click the Privacy tab.
  4. Click Sites.
  5. In the Address of website field, type myob.com then click Allow.

    myob.com now appears under Managed websites.
  6. Click OK.
Chrome
  1. Open Google Chrome.
  2. At the top right, click More (3 vertical dots icon) and then Settings.
  3. At the bottom, click Show advanced settings.
  4. In the "Privacy" section, click Content settings.
  5. Under the "Cookies" section, click Manage exceptions.
  6. Under Hostname pattern, type myob.com and under Behaviour choose Allow.

  7. Click Finish.
Firefox
  1. Open Firefox.
  2. In the top right, click the Menu button (Button with 3 horizontal lines) and choose Options.
  3. In the left panel, click Privacy.
  4. Click Exceptions.
  5. In the Address of website field, type myob.com then click Allow.

  6. Click Save Changes.
