Employee cards are used to store the personal information, contact details and payroll details of your employees. You need to create a card for any employee you will pay using AccountRight.

Using Pay Super?

There’s some mandatory information you need to enter in your employee cards.

To create an employee card

To create an employee card

  1. Go to the Card File command centre and click CardsList. The CardsList window appears.
  2. Click New. The Card Information window appears.
  3. Select Employee in the Card Type field.
  4. Enter the employee’s name and their contact details.
  5. If you want to assign a code to identify the employee, enter one in the Card ID field.
  6. (Plus, Premier) Enter the employee's payroll information.
  7. Click OK.

    Will your employee use AccountRight?

    If you’re setting up an employee and they’re going to use AccountRight, you’ll also need to give them access to the company file.

The error "EmployeePaymentTemplateLine..." or "EmployeePayrollDetailsLine..." means there's a glitch in the employee card and you'll need to contact MYOB Tech Support for help (call 1300 555 123).

Why is AccountRight crashing when I edit a card?

We have found an issue where a .JPG picture will cause a crash when saving the card. You can either remove the picture or change the picture to another format like .PNG or .BMP.

To remove the picture:

  1. Open the card from your Card File.
  2. Click the Card Details tab.
  3. Double-click the picture and click Yes to remove.
