If your company file is online, and you're replacing your computer, or want to work on AccountRight from more than one computer, here's what you do:

Install AccountRight on your other computers

  • The easiest way to install the PC edition is to download it here (subscription required).
  • If you want to install the Server edition, and you have a subscription you can download the installer from my.MYOB.com.au (AU) or my.MYOB.co.nz (NZ).
  • If you purchased AccountRight but don't have a support subscription, call us and we'll email you a link to download your software (Australia 1300 555 123 or New Zealand 0508 328 283).

Copy important files to your other computers

Depending on the AccountRight features you use, you might also need to copy some files onto the new computer:

Not working online?

If your file isn't online, and you're replacing your computer, or want to work from another computer, here's how to set up AccountRight on your new computer:

On the old computer

  1. Create a backup of your company file.
  2. Copy the backup file onto an external storage device, like a USB drive.
    If you use any of the functions listed above, you'll also need to copy the associated folders onto the external storage device.

On the new computer

  1. Install AccountRight.
  2. Copy the files from the external storage device.
    1. Copy the backup file onto the Desktop (to make it easy to find).
    2. If you copied additional files from the first computer, copy these to the applicable folders (see the tables above).
  3. Restore the backup
