Client assignments may not display in AE Practice Manager (AE PM)

In MYOB Accountants Enterprise Practice Manager (AEPM) if you find that some employees are unable to see any assignments under the Client > Assignment tab, this is generally caused by the following:

  • A future Start Date in the employee record or an End Date in the past; or
  • Assignment Data Security has been selected (which may have occurred in error).
Employees logging into the system should be current and active so should not have a Start Date in the future or an End Date.
How to check an employee's Start Date and End Date
  1. In AEPM open the employee and go to the Main tab.
  2. In the Stationed section of the Main tab, ensure that there is a Start Date for the employee and that the date is not a future date for example, a date greater than today's date.  Also ensure that they have no End Date.

The employee should now exit out of AE PM and log in again for the change to take effect.

How to check if Assignment Data Security has been turned on
  1. In AEPM follow the menu path" Maintenance > Security > Assignment Data Security. The Assignment Data Security window appears.
  2. Check whether any of the options have been flagged for example, Company, Office, Department or Centre and determine whether this has been done in error. You may need to refer to Assignment data security to understand the purpose of this and decide whether the options are applicable.   
  3. If Assignment Data Security has not been implemented,  remove the tick from the selected item, otherwise, check the employee's record and check that the employee has the same selection as the client / assignments they are trying to access for example, Company, Office, Department or Centre.
Should any changes be made to the configuration, the employee should now exit out of AE PM and log in again for the change to take effect.
