You can create a new Essentials business.

Instructions
  1. Access the Accounting dashboard.
  2. Click Accounting on the left.
  3. Click Online businesses.
  4. Click the Create a business button. 
    The Create a business page displays.
  5. Select the product you'd like to purchase.
    You can create one of the following: AccountRight Basics, AccountRight Standard, AccountRight Plus or AccountRight Premier business.
    Click the Find out more hyperlink to get more info about the selected AccountRight product from MYOB's website.
    The listed pricing is in your local currency.

    If you'd like to create a new online business that is in a different region from your practice, we suggest that you log into the product itself and create the business there.

  6. Select the Select button for the product you'll be purchasing.
    The button will change from Select to Selected.
  7. Choose who will be paying for the licence.
    Select the appropriate option - you or your client.
  8. Click Continue.
    The Create a business - Owner details page displays.

    If you need to return to the previous page to make any changes, click the Back to previous step link in the top left-hand corner of the page.

  9. Complete the Owner details for either yourself or your client.

    You must complete all the fields for the owner.

    1. Enter the First and Last name of the business owner. 
      You can enter a maximum of 50 characters in each of these fields.
    2. Enter a valid and unique Primary email address for the business owner.
      You can enter a maximum of 254 characters for the email address.
    3. Enter a Phone number.
      You can enter a maximum of 21 characters for the phone number, using only numbers, spaces and the following characters ()+.
    4. Enter the Company name.
      You can enter a maximum of 40 characters for the company name.
    5. Enter or select the Financial year for the business.
      Use the adjacent calendar icon to select the appropriate financial year.
      The financial year will automatically default to the appropriate month and year depending on your region, e.g., June for Australia and March for New Zealand. You can select a different date if required. You can select +/- 7 years from the current year as the financial year.
      The Conversion month will be the start month of the new financial year that transactions can be recorded for - normally July for Australian clients and April for New Zealand clients.
  10. Click Create business.
    The newly created business will be displayed on your Accounting > Online businesses page.

    It may take a few moments for your new business to be displayed in the list.

    At this stage, this listing is only a placeholder while the AccountRight business is created and development is completed.
