Deleting a document is a permanent action and can't be reversed. If you delete a document from your portal, it's also deleted from your client's portal.

If you delete a document from your portal that is linked to a version in Document Manager on your desktop, then the link is removed from the desktop version.

Instructions
  1. Access MYOB Portal.

     You can access MYOB Portal in 2 ways:

    -directly from your browser using http://ae.myob.com (if you have MYOB AE) or http://ao.myob.com (if you have AO). Bookmark the page for easy access in the future.
    or
    -clicking  on the toolbar of your desktop version of MYOB AE or MYOB AO.

  2. Click Documents on the left.
    All your Sent documents are displayed.
  3. Select the document to be deleted from either your Sent or Received documents.
  4. Click the Action button associated with the selected document and select Delete Document.
    You'll be prompted with a confirmation message.
  5. Click Delete.
    The selected document is permanently deleted and is no longer displayed in either your Sent or Received documents. The document is also removed from your clients Documents > Sent or Received page.
Deleting a document associated with an approval task

When you delete a document that is associated with a task about approving documents, then both the document and task (it's details and activity history) are deleted from your portal and your client's portal. The associated task is deleted regardless of its status.

  1. Access MYOB Portal.

     You can access MYOB Portal in 2 ways:

    -directly from your browser using http://ae.myob.com (if you have MYOB AE) or http://ao.myob.com (if you have AO). Bookmark the page for easy access in the future.
    or
    -clicking  on the toolbar of your desktop version of MYOB AE or MYOB AO.

  2. Click Documents on the left.
    All your Sent documents are displayed.
  3. Select the document to be deleted from either your Sent documents.
  4. Click the Action button associated with the selected document and select Delete Document.
    You'll be prompted with a message requesting confirmation of the deletion and letting you know that the related task and all comments associated with the task will be permanently deleted.
  5. Click Delete.
    The selected document and associated task are permanently deleted and are no longer displayed in either your Documents or Tasks page, respectively. The selected document and associated task are also permanently deleted from your client's portal and are no longer displayed on their Documents or Tasks page, respectively.
Deleting a document associated with a general task

When you delete a document that is associated with a general task, you have the choice of deleting just the document on its own or the document as well as the associated general task. Depending on your choice, either just the document is permanently deleted or the document and associated general task (its details and activity history) are permanently deleted from your portal and your client's portal. If selected, the general task is deleted regardless of its status.

  1. Access MYOB Portal.

     You can access MYOB Portal in 2 ways:

    -directly from your browser using http://ae.myob.com (if you have MYOB AE) or http://ao.myob.com (if you have AO). Bookmark the page for easy access in the future.
    or
    -clicking  on the toolbar of your desktop version of MYOB AE or MYOB AO.

  2. Click Documents on the left.
    All your Sent documents are displayed.
  3. Select the document to be deleted from either your Sent or Received documents.
  4. Click the Action button associated with the selected document and select Delete Document.
    You'll be prompted with a confirmation message
  5. If you wish to delete the associated general task, select the checkbox to delete the task in the confirmation message.
    If the checkbox is selected, then the document as well as the associated task are permanently deleted.
    If the checkbox is not selected, only the document is permanently deleted.
  6. Click Delete.
    Depending you your selection above:
    • The selected document is permanently deleted and is no longer displayed on your Documents page or your client's Documents page.
    • The selected document and associated general task are permanently deleted from your portal and your client's portal, and are no longer displayed on the Documents or Tasks page, respectively.
