General ledger accounts can be searched for by Account code and Account name in the Find Chart of Accounts window.

The default sort order in the Find Chart of Accounts window is by ascending account code.

To search the Find Chart of Accounts window
  1. Open the Find Chart of Accounts window.
    This can be done in 2 ways:

    • Click the magnifying glass icon on an account field in the Maintain Control Group window.

    • Press [F9] on the Maintain Control Group window.

  2. In the search type field, select Account code or Account name from the drop-down.
  3. In the Search field, type at least the first 2 characters of the Account code.
  4. Click Search. The accounts listed in the Find Chart of Accounts window are filtered to display only those matching the search criteria.
