The AO Classic Settings option is only available to sites that have integrated AO Classic with MYOB AE/AO. AO Classic client data is synchronised with MYOB AE/AO and maintained in MYOB AE/AO. Tax and general ledger details are still maintained in AO Classic.
To determine if you have integrated AO Classic with MYOB AE/AO, select Maintenance > Maintenance Map (AO) > AO Classic Settings. The AO Classic Settings page opens listing details of the integration.
The AO Classic Settings page lists:
the details of the MYOB AE/AO database, i.e., server name and database name.
the Current integration status of the software, i.e., whether AO Classic is integrated with MYOB AE/AO.
the details of the AO Classic database, i.e., its location.
The AO Classic Settings page is read only. You cannot make any changes to this page.
Select Maintenance > Maintenance Map (AO) > AO Classic Settings. The AO Classic Settings page opens.
Click Edit AO Classic settings on the Tasks bar. The Edit AO Classic details window opens listing the details of the MYOB AE/AO database.
Select whether you wish to integrate with AO Classic:
Do not integrated with AO Classic
Integrated with AO Classic
If integrating a AO Classic database with MYOB AE/AO, click the ellipse button on the AO Classic database field and select the database from the Browse For Folder window.
Click OK. The system will validate the AO Classic database. An error message opens if the wrong location is given for the AO Classic database. Correct the error and click OK.
Restart MYOB AE/AO. This will ensure that the changes take effect.
