Settings

(Practice Manager) The setup settings for integration with your practice’s version of Tax are under Maintenance > Maintenance Map > Tax > Settings.

The Tax Settings page opens displaying your Tax Connection details.

To edit your connection details

  1. Click Edit connection details on the Tasks bar.

  2. On the Database tab, the data displayed is:

  1. Tax database name.

  2. SQL server name.

  3. the login details that you will use when accessing the data.

  4. Click Test to confirm that the details have been entered successfully.

  5. On the Tax tab, the data displayed is:

  1. Ledger Code — the name of the tax ledger.

  2. Tax Program Path — the location of the program files for this version of Practice Manager.

  3. Foxpro database — the location of the data files for your old version of Practice Manager.

  4. Foxpro executable — the location of the program files for your old version of Practice Manager.

  5. Foxpro profile — the name of the profile for your old version of Practice Manager.

To connect to the Tax database

  1. Click Connect to Tax database on the Tasks bar.


  2. The Connect to Tax database confirmation message is displayed.
  3. Click OK.


  4. To establish the connection between your old Practice Manager database and your new Tax database.
    When the Integration with Tax is complete a message displays.
  5. Click OK.
