This Tax Offsets dialog provides all the offset amounts that can be calculated and provides a button to access each of them. For those that are not calculated by Tax Calculator, a field is provided to enter amounts calculated by the user for inclusion in the Estimate.

To open any dialog, click the button or type the [Underlined Letter]. For example, to open the Zone Rebate dialog, type [Z].

The upper panel shows offsets that are able to be claimed at labels in the tax return:

• Zone or Overseas Forces Offset  

• Superannuation Dialogs

• Other refundable offsets

• Other non-refundable offsets 

Offsets Not Claimed in the Tax Return

The lower panel lists offsets that are not able to be claimed in the tax return but are calculated and included in the Tax Estimate and given by the Tax office on assessment.

• ETP/Lump sum 

• Super lump sum

• Net medical Expenses Offset

• Low Income Earners

• Bonus Offsets

• Lump Sum in Arrears

• [N/R Other] refer to Other Non-return Offsets 

Button access is also provided from this dialog to the Medicare Levy, Medicare levy surcharge (MLS) and Private Health Insurance Rebate (PHIR) dialogs. Refer to:
