The latest AccountRight version is 2018.2 (see what's new and the version history). If you're upgrading from a classic AccountRight version (v19 or earlier), learn how to upgrade to the new AccountRight.

You can check your current version on the Welcome window that appears when you start AccountRight. The AccountRight shortcut on your desktop also contains the version number.

If you've installed an update but your version number's different to what's shown above, you're likely opening your previous version. Look for the 2018.2 shortcut on your Desktop. Learn why you need to keep AccountRight up to date.

Ready, set... download!

You need an AccountRight subscription to use the latest version of AccountRight. If your business has a subscription, then anyone you invite to work on your company file can also install and use the latest version.

Using the Server Edition? If you're using the server edition (that is, you have 'SE' on your AccountRight shortcut), see To install the Server Edition 

  1. Click Download and save the installation file to your computer.




  2. Double-click the downloaded file to start the installation.
  3. When you're done, you can delete the installation file.

Some antivirus software can interrupt software installation. If you have issues installing, try temporarily disabling your antivirus software and enable it again after installing.  Having trouble installing AccountRight?

About updates

Whether your company file is online or not, make sure you keep your MYOB software up to date. You’ll be prompted to update whenever a new version is available for you.

You can keep working and click Update now when it's convenient, but if you don’t update your software for a while, you might find that you can’t log in to your online file because your AccountRight version is no longer supported. In this case, you’ll need to update AccountRight to access your file. Note that we'll email the primary contact for your AccountRight subscription 1-2 weeks before we end support for your version. If the Update now button isn't showing, see below for instructions on how to update. If clicking Update now isn't working for you, see  Installation troubleshooting.

To install the PC edition

Click Download to install the latest version (AccountRight subscription is required). Once you've saved the installer to your computer, double-click it to install the new AccountRight version. When you open the company file in the new version you'll be prompted to update the company file. Now you’re up to date.

You can also download the latest version directly from the AccountRight download page (subscription required).

Click Download to install the latest version of Server Edition (AccountRight subscription is required) . Once you've saved the installer to your computer, double-click it to install the new AccountRight version. When you open the company file in the new version you'll be prompted to update the company file. Now you’re up to date.

If you have a terminal server, or roaming profile network setup, you can choose to administer AccountRight using the MSI installer. More information about this option is available from the AccountRight MSI installation instructions.

Click Download to install the latest version using the MSI installer (AccountRight subscription is required).
