Release date—20 September 2018

MYOB currently use the TLS 1.0 security protocol to communicate with their online services. TLS 1.0 will no longer be supported from 1 October 2018.

This NZ AO Classic version 21.0.0a update is necessary for all MYOB Payroll users who post journals to AccountRight Live (cloud company file) and will ensure your software continues to run smoothly.

If you don’t run this update, you won’t able to login to AccountRight Live from MYOB Payroll from 1 October 2018.

Troubleshooting

Solutions to most problems can be found in our online Knowledge Base. To search the knowledge base, select Accountants Office Classic in the drop-down and type in your question.

Some common issues you may experience when installing the update:

  • In the Device Manager tab (right-click on the Start menu and select Device Manager), check there are no yellow exclamation marks. Resolve conflicts before proceeding.
  • Check the font size is normal (right-click on the Start menu and select Settings).
  • Check drive mapping — all workstations should be using the same drive letter to access the MYOB folder on the server, for example, F:\ drive.
  • Log on with administrator privileges on every computer you are updating.
  • If you encounter an error when the *.OCX files are being installed, click OK and start the installation again.
