MYOB AO Classic Payroll install guide—21.0.1 (New Zealand)

Read through this install guide before you start installing the update. It will help you plan the tasks required.

Prerequisites
  • Make sure you have version 21.0.0 or later installed on your network or standalone computer.
  • Make sure everyone's logged out of all MYOB programs.
  • Check that your computer meets the system requirements.
  • Disable your virus checker.
  • Back up your payroll data to an external drive.
To install AO Classic Payroll
  1. Log in to my.MYOB and go to My Products > Download.
  2. Select MYOB AO from the drop-down.
  3. Download the MYOB AO Classic 21.0.1 - Payroll - Update install file.
  4. Double-click the file to start the install.
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions.
  6. When it's finished, restart your computer.
Post-installation
Check your version number
  1. Start MYOB AO Classic.
  2. Select Help > About.
  3. Check that the MYOB AO Classic version is 21.0.1.
  4. Press CTRL+R.
  5. Check that the MYOB AO Payroll build is 2019.1.106.
Reindex your data (optional)

It's a great idea to reindex your data after running this update.

Go to the Tools menu and select Reindex data.

Troubleshooting

Solutions to most problems are in our online Knowledge Base. To search the knowledge base, select Accountants Office Classic in the drop-down and type in your question.

Some common issues you may experience when installing the update:

  • In the Device Manager tab (right-click on the Start menu and select Device Manager), check there are no yellow exclamation marks. Resolve conflicts before proceeding.
  • Check the font size is normal (right-click on the Start menu and select Settings).
  • Log on with administrator privileges on every computer you are updating.
  • If you get an error when the *.OCX files are being installed, click OK and start the installation again.
