"Less: direct costs" appearing before Income in the Income Statement

This support note applies to:

• AE Statutory Reporter (AU)
• AO Statutory Reporter (AU)

In MYOB Client Accounting version 5.4.31, the Income Statement report displays the line Less: Direct costs before the Income section.

This occurs where the balance for the account group folders:

• Profit and Loss Statement > Sales and Income > Sales is zero
  and
• Profit and Loss Statement > Sales and Income > Income is not zero.

As a workaround, allocate the income accounts to the folder Profit and Loss Statement > Sales and Income > Sales so that the balance of this account group is not zero. You can Renaming account groups in the Account Groups window.
