You need to set up company file access for the people you want to work with your data. To do this, you first set them up with a user ID and password, and then assign them a role, which determines what areas of the company file they can work with. See Add new company file users.

Setting up file users enables you to:

  •  control who can access the company file
  •  track transaction record history
  •  set up online access for users (AccountRight subscribers).

Before you create users in a new company file, you should set a password for the Administrator account.
