AccountRight Plus and Premier, Australia only

Are you the business owner (or one of the company directors) and a signatory to the business bank account? Complete a simple signup process to get started with Pay Superannuation.

You'll need to enter your business and banking details, and verify your bank account. You'll also be asked to choose a super payment role for each of your company file users. Their role dictates what they can and can't do with super payments:

CreatorCan view and record super payments but can't authorise them.
Authoriser

Can view, record and authorise super payments. This means they can authorise direct debits from your business bank account—keep this in mind when assigning them.

Authorisers will need to approve recorded super payments before they can be paid. For each payment they'll need to sign into AccountRight with their my.MYOB details and enter the authorisation code MYOB sends them by SMS.

NoneCan't view, record or authorise super payments.

Changing your Pay Superannuation details

To change any of your Pay Superannuation details after you've signed up (including adding or deleting Authorisers), contact MYOB Support on 1300 555 931.

To sign up for Pay Superannuation

To sign up you must be the business owner (or one of the company directors) and a signatory to the business bank account. You'll need to log in with your my.MYOB account.

  1. Open the company file that you want to sign up for Pay Superannuation. Go to the Payroll command centre and click Pay Superannuation. An internet browser window will appear showing the first page of the signup process.
  2. Enter your my.MYOB details and follow the prompts to complete the signup process.

    Waiting for an SMS?

If you set yourself as an Authoriser while signing up, you'll be sent a verification code by SMS and prompted to enter it onscreen. It may take up to 20 minutes to receive the SMS, so make sure you give it enough time. Also make sure you're checking the right mobile—the number will be listed onscreen. Still haven't got the SMS after 20 minutes? Contact MYOB Support on 1300 555 931.

  3. At the end, you'll be asked to verify your bank account. How does this work?

    1. We'll deposit some money into your account. MYOB will make a 1 cent deposit into your bank account. It could take two or three days to appear on your bank statement.
    2. Check your bank statement. Check your bank statement (or online banking portal) and find the 1 cent deposit from MYOB. In the transaction details there will be a 6-digit code. You'll need this later, so make sure you write it down.
    3. Enter the code in AccountRight. When you're prompted in AccountRight, enter the code you wrote down earlier. And presto! Your bank account's verified.
  4. There's just one last thing to do to make sure you're ready to start making super payments from AccountRight: check that you've entered all the required details for your super funds and employees.

After this, you're ready to start using Pay Superannuation.
