AE/AO KB97750393 hotfix (Australia)

Release notes

In this hotfix, we've addressed the following error that happened after updating to the 5.4.46 version and when logging into AE/AO.

System.IO.FileNotFoundException Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.SqlServer.ConnectionInfo, Version=12.0.0.0


Prerequisites
  • You must have MYOB AE/AO version 5.4.46 installed. To check your current version, click Help About.
    Ensure you have administrator access to the server where MYOB AE/AO is installed.
  • Ensure all users are logged out of MYOB AE/AO.
Installing the hotfix
  1. Go to my.MYOB and download the MYOB_AEAO_5.4.46_AU_Hotfix_KB97750393 file to your server location where you installed MYOB AE/AO.
  2. Double-click the executable to start the installation.
  3. In the Welcome to the InstallShield Wizard window, click Next.
  4. Select I accept the terms in the licence agreement. Click Next.

  5. In Ready to install window, click Install to start the installation.
  6. On the Install Completed window, click Finish.

Updating workstations

Workstations are updated automatically as part of this hotfix if auto-updates are enabled. If auto-updates are disabled in your environment, run a workstation install on all workstations.

Follow the steps for the product and setup you use:

AE&AO
  1. Log in to the workstation as an administrator.
  2. Navigate to the setup.exe file on your server or computer where the server installation was performed:
    • AE: \MYOBAE\AESQL\WorkstationInstall\setup.exe
    • AO: \MYOBAO\AOSQL\WorkstationInstall\setup.exe
    • Series 6/8: \Centralclient\setup.exe
  3. Double-click setup.exe.
  4. In the Software licence agreement window:
    • Select I have read and accept the licence agreement
    • Click Next.
  5. In the Ready to Install window click Install Now. The Installation Progress window opens.
  6. On completion, the Installation Complete window opens.

  7. Click Finish. The workstation installation is complete

If you receive an “Open file security” warning message when opening MYOB Accountants Enterprise on a workstation, click Run or OK.

Series 6&8
  1. Press and hold the Windows button and press R on your keyboard. The Run window opens.
  2. In the Open field type S:\MYOB\Setup and click OK, where S: is the MYOB installed location.

    Not sure where the installed location is?

    Go to Help > About MYOB Contacts > Application details > Installed Location.

  3. Double-click setup.exe. The installation wizard window appears.

  4. Follow the prompts. Once the workstation setup has completed, the Setup Complete window appears.
  5. Select the option "No, I will restart my computer later" and click Finish. The windows desktop appears.
    You have successfully run a Workstation Setup updating all MYOB Accountants Enterprise Release files in your workstation. If you experience the error "Ceedata error: can't open S:\Data\MYOB\cds.dir" refer to Error: "Ceedata error: can't open S:\Data\MYOB\cds.dir""
Terminal server
  1. Log in to the terminal server console.
  2. Open Control Panel > Classic View.
  3. Click Install Application on Terminal Server.
  4. Click Add New Programs.
  5. Navigate to the setup.exe file on your server or computer where the server installation was performed:
    • AE: \MYOBAE\AESQL\WorkstationInstall\setup.exe
    • AO: \MYOBAO\AOSQL\WorkstationInstall\setup.exe.
    • Series 6/8: \Centralclient\setup.exe
  6. Double-click setup.exe.
  7. In the Software licence agreement window, select I have read and accept the licence agreement and click Next.
  8. In the Ready to Install window, click Install Now.
  9. The Installation Progress window opens.

  10. On completion, the Installation Complete window opens.

  11. Click Finish. The workstation installation is complete.
  12. Reboot the terminal server.


Post-installation steps

Confirm a successful installation
  1. On your server or workstation, go to the Program Files\MYOB\Hotfix folder.

  2. Default server deploy folder — C:\Program Files (x86)\MYOB\Hotfix\Install
  3. Sort the folder by Date modified.

  4. Confirm that there is an MYOB_Hotfix_KB97750393 text file.
