In MYOB Client Accounting, you may experience the error "You do not have write access to MYOB data file 'c:\Enterprise19\<name>.MYO'. Write access is required to connect to connect a data file" when clicking on the Edit Configuration Details button.

This error occurs if you do not have sufficient rights to the folder where the MYOB Accounting file is located.

To be able to configure files from this location, ensure you have at least Read and Write permissions to the folder where the file is located.

While Read and Write permission is sufficient, MYOB recommends allowing Full Control to prevent other issues.

If you require assistance with applying these rights please consult your IT professional.
