Not applicable for RetailManager v12 and later
RetailManager v12 and later caters for Epson USB docket printers, so this support note only applies to earlier RetailManager versions.
This support note describes how to ensure your Epson USB docket printer is compatible with your Retail software. This process requires the installation of the EPSON TM Virtual Port Driver (available from https://download.epson-biz.com/?service=pos) and specifying the printer in your Retail software.
For current Epson printers on the market, the virtual driver is included on the Epson Driver CD in the following location (assuming your CD-ROM drive is the "D" drive):
D:\Windows\TM Virtual Port Driver\EN\TMVirtualPortDriver500aE.exe.

To download the EPSON TM Virtual Port Driver:
- Go to https://download.epson-biz.com/?service=pos
- Under Choose Software Category, and under the sub-heading Device Driver, click Virtual Port Driver.
- Click TM Virtual Port Driver.
- Click Download and choose to save the file to your Desktop.
Ensure your docket printer is connected to the computer and switched on before completing the following steps. Also make sure you are logged into Windows as an Administrator or a user with administrator privileges.
- Double-click the downloaded TM Virtual Port Driver file.
- Follow the on-screen steps to install the TM Virtual Port Driver.
- At the Com Port Settings window, select the Configure Now option, then click OK.
