Install fails on Windows 10 when .NET Framework 3.5 is not preinstalled

In some circumstances where you are already running Windows 10, if you try to install the MYOB software the installation fails and can display one of several error messages.

  • 'C:\users\admin\AppData\Local\Temp\ISEC38.tmp\install.exe'
  • "Windows cannot find 'C:\windows\Micros~1.Net\FRAMEW~1\V20~1.507\Caspol.exe'.
  • The InstallShield Wizard stops or fails at the point of 'Configuring Microsoft(R) .NET Framework 
  • Error installing Microsoft(R) .NET Framework. File install.exe not found 

These error messages are triggered because .NET Framework 3.5 has not been installed prior to installing MYOB software and is required. 

If you experience this issue, manually install Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5, then reboot your machine and re-run the MYOB installer. If you require assistance with installing .NET Framework, please contact your IT consultant.
